In sequential competitions like penalty shootouts, the order in which teams take turns may have an impact on performance and the outcome. Using an extensive dataset of shootouts, this work evaluates the impact of alternative ordering of shots by modelling shootouts as a probability network. These probability netowrks are calibrated using data from the traditional ordering.
